Our faith and fellowship
About & Beliefs
Who we are, what we teach, and how the congregation is led.
The congregation
Who we are
The Watkins Rd. church of Christ is a congregation of Christians who aim to follow the Bible in everything, whether in worship, in teaching, or in daily life. We are not a denomination and we wear no name but that of Christ. Our desire is to speak where the Bible speaks and to remain silent where it is silent.
Teaching
What we believe
The Bible is God's Word
We believe the Scriptures are inspired of God and are the complete and final authority for what we believe, teach, and practice.
Christ is the head of the church
The church belongs to Christ, not to any man or council. We seek to be simply Christians, members of the body He purchased with His blood.
Salvation through the gospel
We teach that salvation is found in hearing the Word, believing in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing faith in Him, and being baptized for the forgiveness of sins.
Worship by God's design
Our worship follows the pattern of the New Testament church: singing, praying, teaching, giving, and partaking of the Lord's Supper on the first day of the week.
